Cañada College

Cañada College is a community college located at 4200 Farm Hill Boulevard in Redwood City, California, just off of Highway 280. Cañada College opened in 1968 as part of the three-school San Mateo County Community College District. It is one of the smallest community colleges in the San Francisco Bay Area. The college is located on convert|131|acre|km2 in the western part of Redwood City.

The college is unique in that it was one of the first community colleges in California to partner with four-year universities to offer bachelor degrees on-site. It offers bachelor's degrees in nursing, business administration, liberal studies, and child and adolescent development in addition to teaching credentials for elementary and secondary schools and an accelerated executive master's degree in business administration. Canada College has the largest University Center in the California community college system.

Cañada has award-winning fashion design, interior design, and video game art programs. The college has the largest English Language Institute in the Bay Area and is a destination for people enrolled in English as a Second Language programs. Cañada College historically has one of the highest transfer rates for students moving on to four-year colleges and universities.

Library and Learning Center

The Library and Learning Center, located in the center of campus have beautiful views of the quad and of Woodside. Part of the Peninsula Library System, the Library welcomes visitors from beyond the campus. The Learning Center offers extensive services, classes, tutoring opportunities and workshops to support learning.
