Independent Catholic News

Independent Catholic News (ICN) is a daily on-line Catholic news service based in the United Kingdom. The site is run by Catholic journalists based in London, and edited by broadcaster and journalist Josephine Siedlecka. A number of prominent writers from all faiths have written for the site and there are currently more than twenty regular contributors around the world.

ICN was set up in May 2000 in response to Tertio Millennio Adveniente, an Apostolic Letter by Pope John Paul II, which called for lay people to play a more active role in the work of the Catholic Church.

ICN has a Saint of the Day, Sunday Reflection, a listings section, classified ads, archives, links pages and an e-mail subscription service.
