Brindas

Brindas is a village and commune in the Rhône "département", France, 15 km southwest of Lyon. It is the location of a little airport, bearing the code "ICAO LFKL", near Lyon.

Brindas is often regarded as the second home of "Guignol", a French children's puppet show. Indeed the name of the village is often quoted in parts of "Guignol" with that of the town of Chaponost. Additionally, Pierre Neichthauser, mayor of Brindas from 1929 until 1940, was also the puppeteer for the character "Gnafron" in the "Guignol Mourguet" theatre.
