A small forest is located just north of the railroad, and the forest (in Danish: Sønderskov) is officially a "dog forest", which means that people are allowed to walk their dogs here, without a leash. But the forest is used for a wide range of recreation i.e horseback-riding, jogging and girl-scout activities.

Churches

Just north of the forest you will find one of three churches in the Lystrup area, [http://www.lystrupkirke.dk/ Lystrup Kirke] is the new church in town, build in 1989.
