The headquarters of the Civil Aviation Authority is located at Pakistan's largest airport, Jinnah International Airport

Pakistan's Civil Aviation Authority (Urdu: مقتدرۂ شہری طیران) (CAA) is a regulatory authority, which oversees and regulates all aspects of civil aviation in Pakistan. Nearly all civilian airports in Pakistan are owned and operated by the CAA. CAA's head office is situated in Terminal 1 of Jinnah International Airport in Karachi.[1]

CAA is a member of the International Civil Aviation Organisation (ICAO).

Recognition

According to Service Performance Survey (SPS), a recent survey conducted by Singapore Airlines, the Allama Iqbal International Airport Lahore is ranked the world’s leading airport in terms of service performance out of 18 airports from around the world, including Dubai Airport, Capetown Airport, Mumbai Airport and Campbell Town Airport UK for its good terminal services and effective management.

The following table provides details of the major traffic flows by Airport in Pakistan in terms of passenger numbers, aircraft movements, cargo as well as mail during the year 2007. The results were collected by the Civil Aviation Authority of Pakistan[2]
