The Shenandoah 100 is an ultra-endurance 100 mile (162 km) mountain bike race held annually in on the Sunday during Labor Day weekend, usually in early September. The Shenandoah 100 has been held every year since 1998, making it one of the longest continuously held 100 mile MTB races. The organization that runs the race also runs the Wilderness 101 annual in Central Pennsylvanian.

The race course start and finish point are near Stokesville, Virginia. Most racers camp the night before in the Stokesville Campground that contains the the Stokesville Observatory. The majority of the course is in the George Washington National Forest. The far majority of the course is in Virginia with just a small section being in West Virginia. The course covers the USGS Topo Maps of Stokesville, Palo Alto, Reddish Knob and West Augusta. The course covers, as implied by the name, 100 miles and has nearly 12,500 feet of verticle climbing over that 100 miles.
