It was never released as a single, although it features on the soundtrack to the 2000 "The Million Dollar Hotel" movie, and on the greatest hits album, "The Best of 1990-2000". Bono says it is a version of the Biblical Prodigal Son who selfishly deserted his father's home only to realize he had left the good life behind and returned to his Father's open arms.

The song was never played live in its entirety until 2005, during the Vertigo Tour (it was snippeted several times in between "Bad" and "Bullet the Blue Sky" during the Zooropa leg of the Zoo TV Tour).
