Volcano Islands

The Volcano Islands (kanji: 火山列島, "Kazan Rettō") is a group of three Japanese islands that belong to the Ogasawara Islands. The islands are all active volcanoes lying atop an island arc that stretches south to the Marianas.

The Volcano Islands are:
*North Iwo Jima (北硫黄島 "Kitaiōjima" or "Kitaiōtō": North Sulphur Island);
*Iwo Jima (硫黄島 "Iōjima" or "Iōtō": Sulphur Island)
*South Iwo Jima (南硫黄島 "Minamiiōjima" or "Minamiiōtō": South Sulphur Island).
