Tom Gleisner

Tom Gleisner

Tom Gleisner (born 1962) is an Australian director, producer, writer, occasional actor and author. He was educated at Xavier College in Melbourne, Australia.

He is a currently a member of the Working Dog Productions, with Jane Kennedy, Santo Cilauro and Rob Sitch. Working Dog produces television chat show "The Panel" and produced the movie "The Castle".

Gleisner, together with Santo Cilauro and Rob Sitch, is also responsible for the travel guide parodies in the "Jetlag Travel Guide" series. As of 2006, this series stands at the Eastern Europe send-up of "Molvanîa: A Land Untouched by Modern Dentistry", parody of South-East Asian destinations "Phaic Tăn: Sunstroke on a Shoestring" and Central American send up "San Sombrèro: A Land of Carnivals, Cocktails and Coups".

Gleisner is the chairman of Challenge, an Australian cancer support organisation [http://www.challenge.org.au/generic.asp?pageid=2&subpageid=35] .
