Banitsa (ruins)

Banitsa ( _el. Καρυαί - Karié, Slavic - Баница) is a former village in Greek Macedonia known as the place where the revolutionary Gotse Delchev was killed by the Turks in 1903. The village was destroyed during Second Balkan WarFact|date=February 2007 and is now uninhabited and in ruins.
