KNOX (1310 AM, "Talk Radio 1310") is a radio station broadcasting an news/talk format serving Grand Forks, North Dakota. The station is currently owned by Leighton Broadcasting.

The station broadcasts ABC News updates. The station also broadcasts local high school hockey, football, and basketball games on occasion, and also Minnesota Timberwolves basketball and Minnesota Wild hockey games.

History

KNOX signed on in 1949 with a full service format blending music, news, talk, and radio dramas. It later became a Top 40 station, and changed to a mainly News/Talk format in the 1980s. Co-owned station KCNN was the former home of "Hot Talk" until Scott Hennen was promoted for a talk-show host job on WDAY-AM in Fargo, North Dakota. "Hot Talk" became replaced with "Mac Talk" with Mike McNamara on KNOX, who was stationed in Iraq as a Marine until August 2006.
