Oliver Wilkes, (born 2 May 1980 in Ulverston, Cumbria) is an English born Scottish professional rugby league footballer for the Harlequins club of Super League. A Scotland internationalrepresentative forward, he has played for Sheffield, Huddersfield, Keighley, Leigh, Whitehaven, Wigan, Widnes, and most recently Wakefield Trinity Wildcats where he played all games but one due to a training injury.

Wilkes was a consistent feature within the 2009 Wakefield Trinity Wildcats squad and they managed to secure a fifth place finish within the Engage Super League reaching the play-offs.

During 2006 he played with Widnes in the 2006 Grand Final. After the season he required reconstructive shoulder surgery.[2] In 2007 he scored 15 tries in 34 games with Widnes.[3]

He was named to the Scotland training squad for the 2008 Rugby League World Cup[4] and was named to the full Scotland squad for the 2008 Rugby League World Cup. He scored the winning try over Fiji in Scotland's first ever World Cup win.[5]

Wilkes has won caps for Scotland while at Keighley Cougars, Leigh Centurions, Widnes Vikings, and Wakefield Trinity Wildcats 2003…present 7-caps + 1-cap (sub).

Wilkes is the current leader of consecutive appearances in super league.[citation needed]
