Robert Rich, 1st Earl of Warwick

Robert Rich, 1st Earl of Warwick (December 1559 – 24 March 1618) was the son of Robert Rich, 2nd Baron Rich and Elizabeth Baldry.

Marriages and children

First married Penelope Devereux on 10 January, 1581. Penelope was the daughter of Walter Devereux, 1st Earl of Essex.

They had seven children:
* Robert Rich (5 June 1587 – 19 April 1658)
* Henry Rich (baptized August 19, 1590 – 9 March 1649)
* Sir Charles Rich
* Lettice Rich named after her maternal grandmother Lettice Knollys
* Penelope Rich (died 26 October 1613)
* Essex Rich
* Isabella Rich

Divorced November 1605.

He married a second time to Frances Wray on 14 December 1616, daughter of Sir Christopher Wray of Glentworth
