North American telephone area codes 419 and 567 serve the northwest corner of the State of Ohio. Cities served by this area code include Lima (Bluffton), Toledo (Ottawa Hills, Waterville, Whitehouse, Perrysburg, Port Clinton, Sylvania, Bowling Green, Maumee, Holland, Northwood, Oregon, Rossford), Findlay, Bryan, Fremont, Defiance, Tiffin, Sandusky, Ashland, and Mansfield. It also serves the Lake Erie islands north of Port Clinton and west of Sandusky. Area code 419 was created as one of the original area codes in October 1947; the overlay Area Code 567 was created January 1, 2002. Both area codes are in the Eastern Time Zone.
