Treuddyn

Treuddyn

Treuddyn is a very small village in Flintshire, North Wales. There are two primary schools - Ysgol Parc Y Llan which is an English school and Ysgol Terrig which is a Welsh school. The closest secondary school is Ysgol Maes Garmon (Welsh) and Alun High School (English) in Mold, 4.5 miles away. Treuddyn has its own church as well as two Chapels. There is one pub - The Farmers Arms, its own Garage, a children's park, Londis shop as well as a Farm Shop owned and run by a local farmer. A house of note is the haunted house on Shydley hill. Once owned by Arwel Flydden, it has been abandoned since his violent murder by his brother for almost fifty years. It is rumored that his moans can be heard at night, and some claim to have seen his spectre walking the hallways. One point of interest is an old pub named the old hand in and it is said that Prince Llywelyn once came here and wrote a very important letter.
