Places of interest

* The ruins of Brackfield Bawn are directly adjacent to the road. Originally built by Sir Edward Doddington of the Skinners Company in the 17th century, the Bawn played a defensive role for the Skinners land until it was abandoned at the turn of the 18th century. All that remains is the wall and flankers of the original building.

* Next to the ruins stands the impressive structure of the Lower Cumber Presbyterian Church, a traditional Barn Church.

* The Ness Woods country park is popular during summer months.
