Political entities inhabited or ruled by Serbs

Political entities inhabited or ruled by Serbs

This is a list of political entities (states and provinces) that were inhabited or ruled by Serbs during history. The list also include political entities where Serbs were an official, constitutional or titular nation. It should be noted that some entities mentioned in the list (like Socialist Republic of Croatia) were mainly inhabited by non-Serbs, but are listed here because Serbs were one of the constitutional, official or recognized nations in these areas. Moreover, many of the mentioned areas were also inhabited by other non-Serb ethnic groups. The territories of the Balkans where Serbs lived and/or ruled are called the Serbian lands.
