Criticisms
* Many have criticized the advertising of a "digital cable service" where many of the most popular channels are broadcast in an analog format.
* There is low compression on digital (including HD) channels being excessive, causing many to appear pixelized due to low bandwidth.
* There is a high rate of instability of theScientific Atlanta cable boxes.
* Cablevision has also been criticised in the past for not having as many channels as other cable services, such asVerizon FiOS andTime Warner Cable , who carry theTennis Channel ,NFL Network ,ESPNU , andESPN 360 References
