Dr Nicholas Campion

Nicholas Campion (born 4 March 1953),[1] is an historian with particular expertise in cultural history and the history and contemporary culture and practice of astrology.[2] He is the author of a two volume history of Western Astrology.

He is a native of Bristol, England.[1] As an author and lecturer, he has written on the history of astrology, apocalyptic and millennial beliefs, and New Age culture. He studied history at Queens' College, Cambridge and took his MA at the School of Oriental and African Studies, University of London.[3] He is Senior Lecturer in the School of Archaeology, History and Anthropology, director of the Sophia Centre for the Study of Cosmology in Culture, and course director of the MA in Cultural Astronomy and Astrology at the University of Wales Trinity Saint David.[4] He also taught on the degree programmes at Kepler College, Seattle, Washington.[5] He is on the international executive committee of the conferences on the Inspiration of Astronomical Phenomena[6]; the editorial director of the Sophia Centre Press, and has acted as a past chairman of the Advisory Panel of Astrological Education.[3]
