Fortunately for Sidharta, there was a female Mandarin teacher staying in her grandparents' house who could teach her.

She obtained a bachelor degree majoring in psychology from Rijks Universitet, Leiden, Netherland.

She speaks German, Dutch, French, Mandarin, Hokkian, Malay, Indonesian and English.
