David Lichine

David Lichine / Дэвид (Давид) Лишин (1910, Rostov na Donu – 1972, Los Angeles) was a Russian/French/US ballet dancer and choreographer; he was born as Давид Лихтенштейн David Lichtenštejn / David Lichtenstein (Liechtenstein).

Right after October Revolution the family has left the Soviet Russia in emigration, and David grew in Paris, France.

In 1932 he has been invited as the dancer in new the ballet troupe Original Ballet Russe (other name Ballet Russe de Monte Carlo).

His wife was Tatiana Riabouchinska, whom he was partnered with in most of his ballets.[1] Together, Riabouchinska and Lichine had one daughter, Tanica Lichine.[2] In Walt Disney's Make Mine Music, Lichine and his wife performed a live action dance together in the segment "Two Sihouettes."
