Singapore Malay National Organisation

Singapore Malay National Organisation

The Singapore Malay National Organisation (PKMS, short for "Pertubuhan Kebangsaan Melayu Singapura" in Malay; Chinese: 新加坡马来民族机构) is a political party in Singapore.

The party was originally a branch of the United Malays National Organisation, but split when Singapore left Malaysia in 1965. PKMS participated in the general elections between 1968 and 1991 but has failed to win a seat. In 1997, it did not take part in the elections. Since 2001, PKMS is a member of the Singapore Democratic Alliance.

The party's secretary general is Muhamad Ali Aman.

There is a building in Singapore named after the party. It is called the PKMS Building. There are plans to convert part of the building as a shopping complex.
