"The Big Green" is a Walt Disney Pictures movie starring Steve Guttenberg, Olivia D'Abo, written by Holly Goldberg Sloan (1994's remake of "Angels in the Outfield") and directed by Holly Goldberg Sloan.

It also stars Bug Hall, Chauncey Leopardi, and Patrick Renna.

Dealing with the antics of a soccer team consisting of a misfit group of small town kids who are coached by a teacher from England. The movie tried to capitalize the success of "The Mighty Ducks" franchise Fact|date=November 2007 and "Angels in the Outfield" Fact|date=November 2007 with little critical or box office success. Critics blasted the movie for being formulaic and not as entertaining as "The Mighty Ducks" movies. Fact|date=November 2007However, it is worthy to note the stellar performance by Tak (Jimmy Higa) and Evan (Chauncey Leopardi). Their on-screen chemistry was unprecedented for their era. The incorporation of mutli-ethnic characters throughout the film was especially unique and progressive for Disney to execute successfully.
