HMS Manchester

Two ships of the Royal Navy have borne the name HMS "Manchester" after the city of Manchester in the north-west of England.

*HMS|Manchester|15|6 was a Town class light cruiser launched in 1937 and scuttled in 1942.
*HMS|Manchester|D95|6 is a Type 42 (Batch 3) destroyer launched in 1980. She participated in the 1991 Gulf War and is currently in service.
