Mike Borkowski (born May 6, 1975 in Middlebury, Connecticut) is an American race car driver. In 1997 he won the Trans-Am Rookie of the year award with two race victories. He qualified for one Indy Racing League event in 1999 at Lowe's Motor Speedway but the event was stopped after debris from a crash killed 3 spectators. Later that month he failed to qualify for the 1999 Indianapolis 500. He then went to the NASCAR Busch Series where he participated in one race in 1999 and 8 more races in 2000 registering a single top ten at Talladega Superspeedway. In that year, his sponsor AT&T sued Brokowski for aggressive driving.[1] Later that year he began racing in the Grand-Am Rolex Sports Car Series. He recorded a second place result in the 2003 Grand Am Daytona Prototype drivers standings, however, he did not succeed a Grand Am Race. 2006 was his last season in the Prototypes when he co-drove Playboy Racing's Lexus-Riley with Brian Frisselle to a disappointing 17th in the drivers' championship. 2007 found him in the team's Koni Challenge Series Nissan 350Z co-driving with Tommy Constantine. In 2008 he continues to co-drive with Constantine in the series in the team's new BMW M6.
