CFC-Kids for Christ

CFC-Kids for Christ (CFC-KFC) is the largest Catholic child organization in the world. CFC-Kids for Christ is the children ministry of Couples for Christ (CFC). CFC-KFC is designed to provide Catholic early childhood education for children ages 4-12, mainly for children of CFC members.

CFC-Kids for Christ, as a CFC Family Ministry, is present wherever CFC is. Together with Couples for Christ and its ministries, CFC-KFC has been established in over 160 countries and territories throughout the world.

Organization

CFC-Kids for Christ grows mainly through the establishment of CFC-KFC in areas and parishes with Couples for Christ (CFC) or another CFC ministry already present. CFC-KFC has junior and senior kids programs, depending on age. CFC-KFC also has various other programs for child development.

CFC-Kids for Christ is overseen by the CFC Family Ministries Director, currently Melo Villaroman, Jr. CFC-KFC is directly governed by the KFC International Coordinators, currently Kirby and Michelle Llaban. Locally, CFC-KFC is overseen by KFC Couple Coordinators, CFC members who have volunteered to serve in CFC-KFC. Couple Coordinators report directly to the CFC Chapter Head for CFC-KFC pastoral formation, training, and finances.

Conferences

Since 2001, CFC-Kids for Christ annually gathers almost 10,000 of its members from all over the Philippines and abroad at the CFC-Kids for Christ International Kids Village (IKV) during the summer. The IKV is the culmination of the life and culture of CFC-KFC, with members of the worldwide youth organization gathering from around the world.

The 11th CFC-KFC IKV will be held in Tagbilaran City, Bohol, Philippines on May 2-4, 2008.
