Kichadi

Kichadi is a Keralite dish (south India) made of curd and cucumber in raw or cooked form. Kichadi is often served as part of the Sadhya.

Recipe

Method 1

Kerala style

"Ingredients"

*Cucumber - 1 medium size
*Green chiles - 4
**Mustard
**Coconut grated - 1/2 cup
*Curd - 1 small cup
*Coconut oil
**dry chillies
**curry leaves
*Salt - to taste

"Preparation"

*Cut Cucumber into small pieces and cook in salt and water.
*Grind Green chiles, Mustard, and Coconut and add to cucumber.
*Cook for 5 minutes and then add Curd.
*Low the fire and keep on stirring until it is just about to boil.
*Remove from the flame.
*Season it with dry chillies, mustard and curry leaves.
