Wade-Giles : Kiangyin) is a city in China's Jiangsu province on theYangtze River . It has an urbanpopulation of 110,400 (est.2002 ). Jiangyin's name means "River Shade", from its location on thesouth or shady side of the
Yangtze River .Traditionally a farming area, the residents of Jiangyin have recently become among the most wealthy in China, due to the rapid economic expansion enjoyed by this region.
Constructions
At Jiangyin, there are the electricity pylons of
Yangtze River Crossing , which are taller than Eiffel Tower.China Clean Energy Inc., a renewable resource biodiesel and chemicals manufacturer in China announced in late 2007 that it had successfully passed several stages of the government approval process for the company's new
biodiesel plant at Jiangyin Industrial Park in Jiangsu. This put the company on track to complete construction on time, with operations to start in the fourth quarter of 2008.Culture
