Awakateko (Aguacateco, Aguacatec) is a Mayan language related to Ixil. It is spoken primarily in the municipality of Aguacatán in the western highlands of Guatemala. It is also the native language of some Guatemalan immigrants to Tuscarawas County, Ohio.
