Hanover S-Bahn

The Hanover S-Bahn (in German: "S-Bahn Hannover") is an S-Bahn network operated by the Deutsche Bahn AG subsidiary intalliance around Hanover, the state capital of Lower Saxony, one of the states of Germany. It went operational shortly before Expo 2000 and connects the city of Hanover to its neighbouring cities like Nienburg, Lehrte or Langenhagen and is mainly operated with Class 424 electric multiple units. An extension to Hildesheim is planned for 2008.
