The Cheviot, the Stag, and the Black Black Oil

"The Cheviot, the Stag, and the Black Black Oil" is a play written in the 1970s by the popular Liverpudlian playwright John McGrath. It was performed to thousands of people in community centres across Scotland by the and other community theatre groups.

It was also filmed and televised in 1974 by the BBC as part of the [http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0395967/ "Play for Today"] series.
