James graduated from
Northwestern University 's School of Theater. He received aTony Award nomination in 2002 for his portrayal of Sidney Falco in "Sweet Smell of Success ", co-starringJohn Lithgow . He also received anObie Award for his performance in the one-man play "The Good Thief" byConor McPherson .Additional Broadway credits include "Titanic",
