next_no = 5"Live Wire" is a song by Australian hard rock band AC/DC. It is the fourth track of their Australian album "T.N.T.", released in December 1975 (see 1975 in music), and was written by Angus Young, Malcolm Young, and Bon Scott.

"Live Wire" is also the fourth track on the international version of "High Voltage", released in May 1976 (see 1976 in music).

When Bon Scott was the lead singer of AC/DC the song was often used as an ice breaker at concerts to prepare the audience for the band's harder material. In Glasgow, Scotland on October 9, 1982, later singer Brian Johnson did his first live performance of this song and incorrectly sang the lyrics (he did the second verse twice). The song has not been performed live since this date, and a bootleg of this performance titled "Live and Wired" has circulated.

The song is written from the point of view of a person who views himself as a man that other men should fear, and that women should desire.
