Rochester Brigade

Afl2 team
name = Rochester Brigade

conference = American
division = Northeastern
founded = 2001
arena = Blue Cross Arena at the War Memorial
location = Rochester, New York
championships = none
The Rochester Brigade is a now-defunct 2001 af2 expansion team. They played their home games at the Blue Cross Arena at the War Memorial in Rochester, New York. Their first year record was 4–12, and they improved the second year at 7–9. Despite having a losing record that year, they managed to make it to their only playoff appearance, but they lost in the first round to the Albany Conquest. After a dismal 3–13 year, the Brigade officially disbanded and ceased all operations.

The team was co-owned with the Buffalo Destroyers by Mark Hamister; after Hamister's failed bid for the Buffalo Sabres and his subsequent move of the Destroyers to Columbus, Ohio, he saw no need to continue the Brigade team and folded it.

The city of Rochester would be without an arena football team until 2006, with the arrival of the GLIFL's Rochester Raiders.
