Elfi Schlegel (born on May 17, 1964 in Toronto, Ontario, Canada) is an analyst for NBC Sports. She was also a prolific Canadian gymnast. [ [http://www.jou.ufl.edu/pubs/communigator/spring2002/aroundworld.htm Alumni Around the World - communigator - Spring 2002 ] ]

She established herself as one of the best gymnasts in Canadian history in 1978 when she won a gold medal in the Commonwealth Games. She then won gold in the Pan Am Games and a World Cup medal in 1980.

Schlegel joined NBC and has covered 5 Olympics. She covers both gymnastics [http://www.usoc.org/132_23455.htm] and curling [http://www.carr-hughes.com/scrapbook/2004CurlingNationals/elfibrillcurl.cfm] for NBC.

Schlegel graduated from the University of Florida with a degree in telecommunications in 1986. While at UF she was a gymnast, and won 6 All-American honors.
