- Iain Morris
Iain Morris (born
Woking ,Surrey ) is an English writer and comedian. The endearingly mercurial writer, producer and comedian is perhaps best known for co-hosting a show on London radio station
XFM with stand-upJimmy Carr . The 3-hour Sunday morning show was famous for its inane ramblings, shabby prize giveaways, and regular diatribes against large-faced soft-rock tunesmiths Keane. Morris was regularly heard to be as comfortable in discussing weighty existential matters as he wasreality tv . Perhaps unwisely, he also developed a habit of discussing incidents during the week when he had accidentally kissed other men in bizarre circumstances. At other times, he would discuss such matters as the merits of drying soiled underpants in communal microwave ovens. Despite this, the show is generally very fondly remembered and has inspired its own tribute site.Morris features in the 'Iron' episode of cult spoof TV show
Look Around You , as well as onJimmy Carr 's second live DVD, as a panelist on a feature named 'Comedy Idol'.Iain is aidingRicky Gervais with his huge US tour in addition to working on Peep Show and his own series (along with his writing partner, Damon) entitled 'The Inbetweeners', which began airing on E4 in May 2008.Other writing credits include a season 1 episode ofHBO 's Flight Of The ConchordsIain Morris is the second cousin of rugby star James Murray (Leeds Carnegie and Scotland U20).
