Mary Berry (born 24 March 1935) is a British food writer and AGA expert.

Mary Berry has published over 40 cookery books (her first being The Hamlyn All Colour Cookbook in 1970) and hosted several television series for the BBC and Thames Television.[2]

Mary is an occasional contributor to Woman's Hour and Saturday Kitchen and produces Mary Berry & Daughter Salad Dressings and Sauces.

She was cookery editor of Housewife magazine from 1966 to 1970 and of Ideal Home magazine from 1970 to 1973.[1]

One of her latest ventures has been co-judging a BBC television programme called The Great British Bake Off.

She currently resides at Watercroft, her house in the small village of Penn, near High Wycombe.[citation needed]
