Hiram Colon Bocachica (born March 4, 1976 in Ponce, Puerto Rico) is a Major League Baseball player, currently playing outfield for the Seibu Lions of the Nippon Professional Baseball league. He is 5'11" and weighs around 195 pounds. He was drafted by the Montreal Expos in by|1994 and has played for the Detroit Tigers, Los Angeles Dodgers, and Seattle Mariners before being released in by|2005 and scooped up by Oakland from free agency. Bocachica impressed scouts with his amazing Spring Training performance of by|2006, and would have been on the MLB roster for that season, had he not suffered from a bone growth in his right hand. He was claimed off waivers by the Padres on May 31, by|2007.
