Irish Primary Principals Network

The Irish Primary Principals Network (IPPN) is an organisation which represents primary school principals in Ireland, and supports their continued professional and personal development. It was founded in 1999.cite news |title=INTO chief under fire for Network attack |url=http://www.independent.ie/national-news/into-chief-under-fire-for-network-attack-347832.html |work=Irish Independent |date=2001-04-07 |accessdate=2008-01-07]

The established general primary teachers' union, the Irish National Teachers Organisation, has been critical of the IPPN, but the IPPN has denied that it was set up as a rival organisation.cite news |title=INTO chief under fire for Network attack |url=http://www.independent.ie/national-news/into-chief-under-fire-for-network-attack-347832.html |work=Irish Independent |date=2001-04-07 |accessdate=2008-01-07] [cite news |first=John |last=Walshe |title=Union plays down 'lead role' claims on problem teachers |url=http://www.independent.ie/national-news/union-plays-down-lead-role-claims-on-problem-teachers-183669.html |work=Irish Independent |date=2004-02-07 |accessdate=2008-01-07 ]
