Darío Javier Franco Gatti (born January 17, 1969 in Cruz Alta, Córdoba, Argentina) is a naturalized Mexican football manager and a former Argentine international football (soccer) player. He is currently manager of Argentine 2nd division side San Martín de San Juan.

Franco made his football debut in his native country briefly playing with Newell's Old Boys, and later with Spain's Real Zaragoza. He arrived in Mexico in 1995 and enrolled with Atlas. After three years with the club, he then transferred to Monarcas where he obtained huge success, winning the 2000 championship.

He played also with the Argentina national football team, scoring two goals in the 1991 Copa América, and winning the competition. In the 1993 edition of the Copa America he was to play regularly in order to replace banned Claudio Caniggia, but unfortunately for Franco, he was tackled in Argentina's first match and had ruptures of tibia and fibula, which effectively brought his career on the backfood.

Franco was the football manager of Tecos UAG until Saturday August 18 2007 when the president of the club fired him after Tecos lost 4-1 to Pachuca in the first game and then a lost 3-0 to Atlante in the third game. The only point he earned was to a 0-0 draw to Chivas de Guadalajara in the second game. In Clausura 2009, Atlas lost 2 games and lost 4-0 to Cruz Azul in the second game. At the end of second game, Dario Franco got fired of his bad performances. He got replaced by Ricardo La Volpe to become a next coach for the team CF Atlas.
