Versus The World formed in the back of The Ataris old record store ("Down On Haley"). Trevor Lewis Mathias of Antifreeze is the original drummer of the band whereas Casey Cress bands new guitarist. In the summer of 2006 the band toured Europe with No Use For A Name. They have also made a music video for one of their song "Is There No End. It was announced Versus The World had broken up through a Twitter post by Spence via his new band Crooks and Liars on May 19, 2010. However, in August 2010, VTW announced their return, lending members from Donald and Mike's new bands Crooks and Liars and Cave Mummy, respectively.

Their song "Forgive Me" is featured on WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2007.
