Communist Workers Party (Japan)

Communist Workers Party (in Japanese: 共産主義労働者党) was a pro-Soviet communist party in Japan. It was founded in November 1966.

The party published Toitsu between February 1967 and December 1971.[1]

The youth wing of the party was the Proletarian Youth League and its student branch was the Proletarian Student League.

The party suffered several splits. Remaining elements formed the People - Group aiming at Self-Government, Solidarity, Ecology in 1986.
