Bobby Chouinard

Robert William Chouinard (born May 1, 1972, in Manila, Philippines) is a retired Major League Baseball right-handed pitcher.

Choinard played high school baseball at Forest Grove High School in Forest Grove, Oregon. [Vondersmith, Jason. Drafted by the Baltimore Orioles in the 5th round of the 1990 MLB amateur draft, Chouinard would make his Major League Baseball debut with the Oakland Athletics on May 26, 1996, and appear in his final game on September 9, 2001.

Chouinard was released by Arizona after a police report revealed Chouinard had held a gun to his wife's head in front of their infant sometime around the Christmas holiday in 1999.

Chouinard is one of four players in Major League Baseball history from the Philippines, either by birth, citizenship, or heritage. The other three are Bobby Balcena (1956 Cincinnati Reds), Benny Agbayani (1998-2001 New York Mets, 2002 Colorado Rockies, 2002 Boston Red Sox),
Chris Aguila (2004-present Florida Marlins), and the Minnesota Twins' Kyle Lohse.
