Life

He was Lord Privy Seal from 1386 to 1389.Powicke "Handbook of British Chronology" p. 92] He was also Lord Treasurer from 1391 to 1395.Powicke "Handbook of British Chronology" p. 102]

He was nominated to the see of Salisbury on 3 April 1388 and was consecrated on 20 September 1388.Powicke "Handbook of British Chronology" p. 251]

He died on 17 September 1395. He is buried in Westminster Abbey in Edward the Confessor's Chapel.
