Cathy Davey is an Irish Choice Music Prize-nominated, Meteor Award winning musician and songwriter. She has released two albums, "Something Ilk" (2004) and "Tales of Silversleeve" (2007), which garnered her a Choice Music Prize nomination, Meteor Award for Best Irish Female, and spawned a number of successful singles including "Reuben" and "Sing for Your Supper".

Career

Cathy Davey released her first album, entitled "Something Ilk", in 2004. It had mixed commercial success, though it did lead to a notable and diverse cult following. Her second album, entitled "Tales Of Silversleeve" was released on October 12 2007; recording a lot of it herself in her home and then finishing it with Liam Howe of Sneaker Pimps. This proved to be a very successful move as it led to a Choice Music Prize nomination for 2007 Irish Album of the Year.
