Newstead College is situated in Launceston, Tasmania, Australia. The school provides senior-secondary education for year 11, 12 and 13 students.

The first intake of students to Newstead College was in 1997, However in late 1996 high school students from around the region were showed through the college while the final work was carried out. During 1997, the college hosted various government figures who toured the college grounds and students attended many ceremonies for the school opening.

Areas of study available to students include mathematics, English, science, child care, music, audio design, still and video photography, computer aided design, graphic design, desktop publishing, multimedia, electronics, hospitality, soft furnishing, sports development, office administration and hair dressing, as well as carpentry and joinery. The school is best known for its music and drama programs, particularly the Rock Music Summer School which has been held on campus for over ten years.

Looking Glass Productions
