Stu Mead (b. 1955 in Iowa) is an American painter living in Germany. He is primarily-known for "girl art" incorporating strong elements of sexual fantasy and taboo themes, including adolescent sexuality and shit. His work could be said to exist somewhere between Balthus and good-girl artist Bill Ward.
