K. S. Ravikumar

K.S. Ravikumar is a Tamil film director and actor. His movies are more of a mixture of genres ranging from comedy to action thrillers. He has worked with all the major stars of the South Indian industry including Kamal Haasan, Rajnikanth,Vijay, Sarath Kumar, Jayaram, Chiranjeevi, Madhavan and Ajith Kumar.

Career

Ravikumar's directorial career started with Puriyaadha Pudhir. His next film was Cheran Pandiyan in 1990, his first hit;which also was his friend Sarath Kumar's first film as hero. After that Ravikumar made many films with Sarath Kumar with Nattamai(1994) and later Natpukkaga(1998) turned out to be the biggest blockbusters of their combination. Then he landed himself with the major task of directing Rajinikanth in "Muthu" which he did successfully and therefore many other offers other than those with Sarath Kumar arrived his way including films with Kamal Haasan, Chiranjeevi, Vijay, Akkineni Nagarjuna, Ajith and Madhavan. His films usually have good comedies, good songs, but low quality production value and storyline. He has the habit of using a large number of characters in his films, and finally bind all those characters and will finish the story. Actor Sarath Kumar & actress Meena have acted many number of films in his direction. He has tasted 4 block buster hits with Kamal. After Avvai SHanmukhi, Thenali, Panchatantiram He has given a record breaking hit movie Dasavatharam to Kamal. He is the known to have an ego.
