Amenities

The village has a Post Office, a parish church, a public house and a library, but few other facilities and also Library View, a house originally built in the 1700s as three miners' terraced-houses.

History

Halkyn is one of the ancient parishes of Flintshire, originally comprising the townships of Hendrefigillt, Lygan y Llan and Lygan y Wern.
