The Queen's Medical Centre (popularly known as QMC or Queen's Med) situated in Nottingham, England, is the largest hospital in the United Kingdom, and the largest teaching hospital in Europe. It was officially opened by the Queen on 28 July 1977, and admitted its first patient in 1978. It currently has more than 1300 beds and employs more than 6000 people.

QMC was the first purpose built teaching hospital in the UK, and consists of the University Hospital of the University of Nottingham and the University's Medical School.

In January 2006 it followed other UK hospitals in implementing a site wide smoking ban. On 1st April 2006 it merged with Nottingham City Hospital to form Nottingham University Hospitals NHS Trust.
